Between the way the market opened and how it closed, we saw some varied price action. The market leaders and our favorite cloud kings were taking a hammering but towards the end of the day, it became apparent that buyers were coming in. It will likely be like this until the Fed decision on Wednesday and I’m staying light and nimble, while keeping an eye on our favorite tickers – TWLO, V, ZTS, PYPL, ROKU, AMZn and more.
We are in the heart of earnings season, but there are still several key reports to consider in August. Disney and Walmart are two of my favorites. Let’s look at these for their respective Runs into Earnings.
Nice follow-through day, as many of you are seeing how the trading book sees plateaus where I build new positions into an expected push towards our targets. Today was a nice push day for the positions and I discuss those, as well as more, in this video.

The open bond position is still a valid long position, but what else fits with this short yield play? Well for one, the long Home Depot position that we’re scaling out of today.
I don’t really mind that the BYND move doesn’t make sense. It can teach us a lot about trading, and even more about market psychology.
